Mazda เปิดตัวรถต้นแบบ Mazda Shinari Concept ในงาน ปารีส มอเตอร์ โชว์ 2010 (Paris Motor Show 2010) รถต้นแบบ Mazda Shinari นี้ได้คอนเซ็ปต์ดีไซน์ใหม่ ที่เกิดจากแนวคิดแบบใหม่ ที่มีชื่อว่า "Kodo" ซึ่งมีความหมายว่าจิตวิญญาณแห่งการเคลื่อนไหว สำหรับรูปลักษณ์ภายนอก ก็ดีไซน์ออกมาได้ดูพลิ้ว บาดตาบาดใจได้พอสมควร
